The Position: National Sales Manager
NINER BIKES NATIONAL SALES MANAGER
As Niner’s US National Sales Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for expanding domestic wholesale accounts, revenue, and profitability. Goal and results driven, you will be experienced in creating and implementing scalable sales programs and will have had proven success meeting and exceeding business and market sales expectations. In addition, the National Sales Manager will be responsible for or contribute to all dimensions of sales management across strategies, forecasting, pricing, competitive landscapes, market conditions, and customer/field sales support programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Work with the Vice President of Global Sales to analyze business and product trends, opportunities for growth, and development of action plans. Maintain strong customer relationships with all key and target accounts, while seeking new and original customer relationships. Travel to each sales territory, continually providing quality feedback from customers to internal department teams. Develop annual sales and incentive programs. Provide the operations team with annual forecasts and rolling projections. Meet sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing the annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions. Periodically review and adjust national sales plans to ensure that objectives are being met. Establish effective pre-call protocols for productive and consistent customer interactions. Recruit, hire, mentor, and drive sales force performance. Attend all sales meetings, trade shows, clinics, conferences and demos as required. Develop and execute creative grassroots product launch campaigns utilizing established IBD relationships within target markets.
EDUCATION & TRAINING: Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Marketing or related field experience required. Minimum of 5 years sales management experience selling into the IBD channel. Sales Management level experience in developing, leading and maintaining a successful sales team. Experienced working within a matrixed organization (e.g. marketing, management, finance, R&D, customer service).
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Excellent time and project management skills. Strong people management skills with proven track record of developing & mentoring successful sales teams. Ability to quickly build/maintain positive and effective work/customer relationships. Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills. Strong business acumen with acute understanding of sales cycles. Self-confident, self-motivated, self-starter, results-oriented and success driven. NetSuite experience a plus.
COMPENSATION: Competitive pay/bonus commensurate with experience.
TRAVEL: approximately 40%.
