The Position: Retail Marketing & Brand Experience Specialist
General Summary
Responsible for shaping and driving our brand presence in the retail environment, the Channel Marketing and Brand Experience Specialist will manage the overall creative development, layout, and messaging strategy of the inReach and Atlas product lines. This individual will work closely with internal partners and external agencies including brand, product marketing, and research, in order to deliver winning POP, merchandising and packaging solutions that raise awareness, drive interest, educate retail staff and ultimately increase product sales. He/she will work with our internal marketing staff, marketing agency, and sales teams to address customer needs, translating product features into real customer benefits and implemented in the retail environment with winning messaging and visual strategies.
Job Responsibilities

Ensures the implementation of our POP/merchandising/promotion program and integrity of product presentation and brand standards in the retail environment in order to provide the best customer experience -
Coordinates and drives our national efforts to train and motivate retailer staff to more effectively sell our flagship product inReach -
Contributes to the POP/merchandising and packaging development process by translating shopper insights into engaging creative and messaging -
Manage POP/merchandising-related projects with the company's marketing agency and other external partners to meet deadlines and budget parameters -
Collaborates with sales staff, internal and external partners to develop and implement new retail strategies for attracting and engaging customers, including local events and in-store brand experience opportunities -
Coordinates efforts with our sales teams to ensure retailer compliance and participation in in-store promotions, including the use of POP/merchandising materials and rebate programs -
Develop, implement, measure and report out on a retail brand experience and brand promotion plan
Required Skills

Must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in channel marketing, merchandising or brand experience development for a consumer retail product. -
Experience managing both internal and external (agency) resources and budgets. -
Consumer marketing experience, specifically in the areas of: brand experience creation, message and creative development, consumer behavior, creative packaging, brand strategy, marketing plan development, execution and post-analysis. -
Strong project management skills—experience overseeing complex projects; highly organized, detail-oriented. -
Ability to collaborate and works well within team; effectively communicate and partner with all business groups including marketing, PR, product development, and sales. -
Strong ability to influence multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization. -
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. -
Strong analytical skills and results orientation. -
Proven experience and passion to foster strong relationships (internal and external) to drive business results. -
Ability to develop original processes and demonstrate effective project management skills to drive execution cross-functionally across all retail environments. -
Demonstrated track record where he/she has operated independently and efficiently to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. -
Strong analytical and problem solving mindset with clear examples of using data for target setting, measurement -
High energy, creativity and a passion for brand communications in a retail environment is required. -
A moderate level of experience using graphic design programs is a plus, including Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. -
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, advertising or a related field and at least five years of demonstrated experience in the essential job duties.
