Job Vision:
Lead the vision, direction, and financial performance of Salsa Cycles. Build upon the strength of the brand and team and inspire them to an even greater vision. You will be the inspirational, functional and business leader of the brand to consumers, dealers and inside QBP. You will set and maintain the brand, business strategy, sales performance, and product direction while leading and developing a team. You are expected to run a profitable business and are responsible for the overall financial performance of Salsa Cycles.
Organizational Structure:
The Brand Manager will report to the Consumer Brands Business Development Manager. The business unit includes a mix of full time direct reports in sales, marketing and product as well as supporting departments and staff in the form of product development, sales and marketing. You are part of a larger team of Q-bike brands including Salsa, Surly, All City, Foundry, Civia and Ridley.
Performance Objectives:
•Build a strong brand – Build a clear picture of the brand vision, mission, purpose, and brand essence. Ensure that all products, marketing, staff and content for the brand are in alignment with the brand, and its’ essence.
•Profitable growth – Responsible for profitable growth of both the branded business and of a healthy, enthusiastic group of brand customers and fans.
•Market expertise – Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the competitive marketplace. Develop actionable market and business insights to fuel product and marketing development opportunities.
•Employee development – Continuously develop staff to be great at their jobs and have fun doing it.
•Sales Performance – Along with the Sales Manager, develop sales goals and programs that are in alignment with the brand and QBP. Actively participate in selling brand products and programs.
•Product Direction – Work with the Brand Product Manager and Product Development Department to develop products that are in alignment with the brand essence and meet cost and performance needs.
•Advocacy – Develop and nurture brand advocacy and bicycle advocacy.

Basic Qualifications:
•Experience managing a brand or in business development
•Experience collaborating with an in-house creative team
•Experience in developing and executing sound business and marketing strategies
•Proven track record of brand and business results
•Proven ability to create strategies for growth from current and future market assessment
Physical Requirements:
•Extensive computer and phone use
•Travel to events, work both dealer and consumer events approximately 6 -8 times per year
•Extended standing and lifting to help assemble booths for events
•Travel to Europe and Asia, minimally one time each per year
