The Position: SmartWool Marketing Channel Manager

The SmartWool Marketing Channel Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of the SmartWool® brand within the designated Channel of distribution. This individual is responsible for: A. the development of promotions and events that drive both consumer and customer brand adoption; B. providing insight and supporting the go to market (GTM) process for SmartWool® in collaboration with marketing, product development, sales and sales operations; C. developing marketing programs and supporting sales growth/results of the specific Channel businesses; D. representing the specific Channel internally with our Marketing team and externally.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in partnership with the Channel sales manager to develop and execute brand, field and retail marketing strategies that align with corporate long and short term objectives
  • Develop seasonal and branded promotions, POS/consumer collateral and sponsorships that promote our brand and product initiatives; and that align with our brand and channel objectives (strategic planning, brief development, time line management, project oversight)
  • Leverage opportunities to produce experiential brand and product consumer "touch points" (emotional connection) through events, sponsorships, promotions, and strategic partnerships with goal of driving our brand, seasonal initiatives and long range company goal
  • Presentation of seasonal Channel Marketing Plan to GTM team as part of each key GTM meeting Analysis of program results (ROI)
  • Lead the seasonal GTM process for the Channel in conjunction with the Channel Sales Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing and/or sales experience
  • Demonstrated results in executing multiple projects and integrated plans
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated team and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel
