The Position: Sourcing Manager, Hard Goods and Technology

Position Location: Petaluma
Summary:
This position is responsible for sourcing development and management of new and existing product and components CamelBak’s hard goods and technology products.
Major Responsibilities:
· Support CamelBak’s hard goods and technology product lines through sustainment, overseeing sourcing selection, supporting new product development and prototyping, managing production start-up, steady state production, and finally the end of life production transition.
· Manage the overall relationship with key suppliers supporting CamelBak’s product lines, which includes ensuring continuity of supply, on-time delivery, quality, pricing, payment terms, and supply contracts
· Working with the R&D team to ensure customer requirements, usage conditions are anticipated, clearly defined and understood and that the conditions are adequately simulated with reliability testing and on-going quality is monitored through factory testing
· Collaborate, share and balance work loads with counterparts to ensure all of CamelBak’s product line have full operational support
· Assist the Director, Hard Goods Sourcing with planning and developing of quarterly/annual budgets

Knowledge:
· Strong technical background, with a wide range of hands on manufacturing, experience (experience with consumer or hi-tech manufacturing is a plus)
· Experience with international sourcing/manufacturing, particularly Asia
