This person will work with two teammates in product development. Responsible for developing, communicating and executing products that sell, ensuring that product is in alignment with brand message and business objectives, and effective alignment of all product management, brand and design processes within companywide goals. This motivated individual will be responsible for a wide range of camping specific hard goods product design projects for Big Agnes. Main Duties - Oversight of camping gear design projects and product development
- Develop product strategy including line items and line briefs, pricing and product launch/exit
- Assist in product line list management with Operations/Sales team
- Conduct market and product research, including:
- Competitive Analysis
- Colorway & trends analysis
- Concept Generation- Take concepts from paper sketches to commercialization. Complete assigned design projects from brief to development handoff.
- Manage photo sample, counter-sample, and production approvals to ensure Big Agnes quality standards, product design adherence, as well as on time deliveries.
- Directly manage the development process and calendar including quality evaluation, fabric, trim and colorway approvals.
- Assist in product cost management.
- Materials and hardware sourcing.
- Assist and manage QA testing and COC auditing.
- Factory visits- development, QA, and seasonal pricing negotiation
