Reports to: Director of Sales and Strategy
Sales Manager Job Purpose: Responsible for the execution of organizational sales plans with primary focus on securing positions and growth with major accounts. Responsibilities will be across all revenue channels with primary focus on Distribution and October Mountain Products. This position will hold a seat on the Strategic Planning Committee.
Sales Manager Job Duties:
- Work closely with Director of Sales to create sales plans for all revenue channels.
- Establish and expand OMP product positions and sales with major accounts.
- Establish and expand Distribution opportunities and sales with major accounts.
- Establish and expand Buy Group opportunities.
- Represent Company at Trade Shows.
- Assist in OMP units forecasting.
- Develop and administer internal sales initiatives, spiffs etc.
- Maintain current with changing trends, economic indicators, and competitor’s activities and programs.
- Provide product recommendations for development under OMP brand.
- Contribute insight to the companies selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
- Completes national sales plans by assigning staff initiatives, following up on work results.
- Maintains internal sales staff job results by training, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Communicate with marketing to develop marketing plans to support Sales initiatives.
- Assist Purchasing team in forecasting new and existing items.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
