Essential Duties & responsibilities: |
Salomon/Suunto Field Marketing Associate will lead the support strategy in the outdoor specialty, specialty run and key account channels located within their respective territory to increase market share, amplify Salomon and Suunto’s product leadership and create recognition, awareness and loyalty for the Salomon footwear and apparel categories and the Suunto brand. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:
- Lead the overall field support efforts for Salomon/Suunto at both outdoor specialty, specialty run and key accounts located within the territory
- At all accounts, support the Sales and Marketing teams with product launches, in-store merchandising , extensive on site consumer demos, community runs and innovate grass root programs
- Work with Sales management and Marketing on the success of account sell-thru programs/in-store promotions
- Educate and motivate the retailer, consumer, and all key points of contact about new technology and product through product seminars and clinics
- Work the sales floor at accounts as assigned – be an expert at driving product sell-through in all channels
- Represent Salomon/Suunto at national (and selected local) running events and expos -- including set-up, breakdown, distribution of collateral, interaction with consumers and product trial
- Provide feedback and analysis by way of bi-weekly field reports to measure effectiveness of product initiatives and sales strategies; identify new opportunities for growth within or outside the
Running industry
· Organize and schedule activities under the direction of the Outdoor Marketing Manager and in conjunction with the local sales representative. To include weekly demo runs and on site execution at sponsored events
· Provide weekly formal feedback on activities.
· Provide updated inventories for all accounts to sales reps
