The Position: Regional Sales Manager (MN, WI, IN, MI, ND, SD)

The primary responsibly of the RSM is to serve as an account manager for direct accounts within an assigned Sales Territory (MN, WI, IA, MI, ND, SD, ) and to develop account plans to achieve overall territory sales goals. In addition, the RSM is responsible for driving CTC’s sales goals and business plan objectives by cultivating and building CTC’s dealer base, increasing customer loyalty, and focusing on enhancing key dealer relationships. Achieve sales goals and business plan objectives in a two-step distribution system while enhancing the reputation and brand awareness of Crimson Trace and CTC products.
Essential Functions

Analyze assigned territory business opportunities and challenges, develop and implement a productive sales plan to grow CTC market share and profitability with the primary objectives based on accomplishing CTC’s annual performance target(s). -
Grow SKU sales optimally by increasing both the direct and dealers’ product support and stocking levels. -
Explore new business opportunities within your assigned territory. Conduct in-depth research and analysis of territory and existing and potential dealers. -
Promote all Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partner packages. -
Pro-actively manage and grow sales with distributors, key accounts and retail dealers. -
Actively prospect and capture new accounts to be sold directly or through distributors. -
Conduct dealer product and sales training in store and at the range to maximize sales commitment to CTC and the Lasergrips® brand. -
Develop onsite merchandising plans to maximize CTC exposure and benefits of the Lasergrips® brand. Determine optimal Point-Of-Sale and signage for dealers. -
Resolve customer service problems and work with CTC office personnel to ensure and maintain CTC’s high level customer service requirements. -
Professionally represent the company at trade shows, conventions, dealer shows, range days and other industry functions. -
Generate and maintain accurate and timely reports and maintain company records. -
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent -
Minimum two (2) years recent sales experience working with chains, buy groups, on-line and catalog dealers and distributors. Sporting goods/firearm Industry experience preferred; consumer package goods exp. will be considered. -
Working knowledge and/or experience with a two-tier distribution system and dealer sales environment is required. -
Must live within assigned territory -
Significant travel is required; up to 50% with overnight. -
Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. -
Have geographic knowledge of the territory -
Must be familiar and comfortable handling firearms. -
Proficient computer skills to include MS Office and contact management databases. -
Demonstrated sales and marketing skills in a technical environment -
Knowledge of the sporting goods/firearms industry highly desired. Laser sights and accessories knowledge a plus. -
Proven record of growth oriented sales performance. -
Solid communication, problem solving, and negotiation skills. -
Ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks. -
Solid organization, planning, and self starting skills. -
Career oriented team player with positive can-do attitude.
