The Position: Ecommerce Developer
| Position Summary: | Black Diamond eCommerce web developers are responsible for design, development and sustainment of Black Diamond Inc. web and eCommerce sites. They work closely with Direct to Consumer Sales, Marketing and IT staff to help deliver an exceptional web presence.
Essential Functions
1. Design, development and administration of all Black Diamond Inc. eCommerce sites
2. Partner on future site enhancement planning and execution
3. Approach technical challenges with an open mind and desire to innovate
4. Appreciate great web design, brand communications and thrive in a creative environment
| | Qualifications: | Education Required: Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge in a related field
Work Experience Required: Possess 3+ years development of websites and web applications
Preferred: Experience and/or desire to develop against ASP.NET sites. Windows/IIS a plus
| | Skills and General Experience: | • 3+ years web development experience (eCommerce experience a plus)
• Experience extending and integrating with complex systems via SDKs and APIs
• Experience with web services
• Experience with the latest in web standards like HTML5 and CSS3 modules
• Advanced JavaScript experience
• Experience with AJAX and JSON
• Database development experience
• Experience with Git or other version control systems
• Appreciation for web standards, best-practices and high quality user experience
Alternative qualification: 2+ years work experience in lieu of education |
