The Position: Bicycle Sales and Tour Coordinator
BICYCLE TOUR SALES AND TOUR COORDINATOR-
Fast growing regional bicycle touring company located in Healdsburg, CA, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team in a positive professional atmosphere. This is a great opportunity for a cycling enthusiast with sales and customer service skills who would enjoy assisting visitors to experience the incredible beauty of cycling in Sonoma County.
JOB SCOPE
- Sale of bicycle tours in Sonoma and Napa counties by responding to customer inquiries via email and phone.
- Handling ongoing customer service via email and telephone.
- Booking travel arrangements for custom designed bicycle tours, including lodging and dinning, ensuring that individual preferences are considered, alternative arrangements provided and accurate pricing is maintained.
- Prepare all tour paperwork.
- Preform pre-tour orientations for guests arriving in the area.
- Work closely with other tour coordinators in checking reservations and taking phone calls.
- Perform basic retail and rental functions as needed.
- Perform occasional tour support functions as needed including the transportation of guests, luggage or equipment in company vehicles.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Cycling knowledge and an enthusiasm for outdoor recreation.
- Familiarity with Sonoma and Napa roads and terrain
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Ability to work as part of a team and perform a wide range of tasks as needed.
- Strong customer service attitude and skills.
- Organize and maintain detailed tour files and information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Genuine desire to contribute to the growth and development of the business.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- College degree preferred.
- Experience in general office duties.
- Experience in the travel or bicycle industry a plus.
