The Position: Regional Sales Manager-Eastern
EASTERN REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
The Eastern Regional Sales Manager works from Marmot HQ in Rohnert Park, California and is responsible for account/territory oversight and management. The position must successfully develop, monitor and manage the sale of all Marmot products, in keeping with Marmot’s business plans, brand positioning strategies, profitability goals, and mission and core values.
Responsibilities include assisting and participation in trade show booth meetings and developing and maintaining sales tools that will provide the sales force with key components to lead the industry in sales tools. The incumbent prepares reports and analysis of sell-in/sell-through, and works with sales and account management and internal staff to assess and resolve recurrent problems. Also must provide, monitor and maintain strategic analyst for the Regional accounts and territory manufacturing rep firms.
This position also works to foster positive relationships and create enthusiasm at sales meetings, trade shows and Head Rep Meetings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Other responsibilities may be assigned.)
Include Business Development with regional accounts and strategic key accounts to develop broad buy plans based on sell-through history and trends. Prepare analyses and reports that monitor, forecast and analyze sales activity and trends for assigned accounts. Assess product and customer performance and profitability. Provides staff support to the Vice President Sales in negotiations with assigned accounts and researches and compiles relevant information to support decision making.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form Ability to work independently with little direct supervision, organizing, prioritizing and completing tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
AA Degree or equivalent in marketing or business management plus 3 to 5 years of experience in various phases of sales, sales administration or marketing. Working knowledge of Excel and product management software required.
AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED: Frequent overnight domestic travel. Attend account meetings, trade shows and events.
