The Position: International Sales Manager
Finish Line is seeking an individual to manage a significant part of the company's global distribution network. You will work with Finish Line's distributors to help them find ways to sell more product within their specific countries. You will be the primary point of contact for one exclusive distributor in approximately 25 of the 50 different countries that the company does business in. You will work closely with distributor's middle and senior level management and sales teams to establish and execute growth oriented sales and marketing plans. You will also identify opportunities to strategically expand our brands into emerging markets. Domestic and international travel for typical durations of 3-10 days is required.
Requirements, Skill, and Abilities:
- A four year college degree is required
- 2 to 10 years of work experience is preferred
- Experience traveling, working, or living overseas, especially in Europe
- Willingness to fully embrace the opportunity and responsibility that this position entails, working extra hours on a regular basis to shorten the learning curve; in short a strong work ethic is required
- Strong, persuasive and refined writing skills are a must
- Natural sales ability is required. Ability to think creatively, and find unique ways of solving problems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong presentation skills, ability to speak in front of small groups
- Interpersonal and relationship-building skills are extremely important
- Team-oriented, collaborative, flexible, adaptable
- Willingness to synchronize with customer time zones for phone calls and email correspondence during non-traditional hours and over weekends
- Being an active/passionate cyclist and/or having pertinent industry experience are strong assets
- Ability to consistently take charge of and bring multiple projects to completion with minimal supervision
