The Position: Brand Marketing Manager (Outdoor)
We’re looking for a passionate and creative strategic thinker for our Outdoor Brand Marketing Manager to manage The North Face brand marketing programs including:
Qualifications
Alternative Sports Brand Theme and Plans, Trademarks and Patents Program, and other brand-related projects as assigned. Establish control-related standards and procedures.
Education/Experience:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+. A minimum of 5 years in brand management and/or marketing-related role. Minimum of 3 years Outdoor-specific brand marketing, product and/or retail experience required. BA or BS degree in business, marketing or other related discipline. Market research study development, analysis and reporting skills. Working knowledge of trademarks and patent registration process.
Skills:
Must be quantitative minded and possess solid spreadsheet skills. Able to work in a team environment and be flexible. Working knowledge of market research fundamentals and processes required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Database and Power Point required. Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills required. Must be proficient at communicating research findings and implications. Must be able to work professionally with flexibility in handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a results-oriented individual who has exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, excellent communication and grammatical skills, planning, scheduling and problem solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with director of brand management to manage from concept to completion The North Face Brand Marketing Themes per Brand Marketing Process relating to content concepting and management across all internal and external channels, specific to Outdoor, Summit Series and other themes as assigned.
Manage Global Brand Naming and Trademarks Program in conjunction with RDD senior directors, including but not limited to: Brand, product, and technology naming projects as assigned, Brand, product and technology trademark search and clearance, Trademark renewal and opposition projects as assigned by VF Trademarks. Other general management responsibilities include: budgets, timelines, and administrative tasks. Integration of Global Marketing themes and content across all internal and external vehicles. Manage the integration of key product technology and marketing stories into brand messaging across the strategic marketing calendar, through the product Go To Market process. Integrate consumer centric marketing research into product development process in conjunction with RDD.
